Trek Poser
I am official the biggest nerd in the world.
I feel like a total Trek poser, I loved the new movie and know very little about anything else Trek related. Except for Star Trek: Enterprise, I totally watched that, but apparently Trek people are not down with Enterprise…
Who’s Freakin’ exited for the Star Trek DVD?

Fox of the week – James Spader
James Spader seems to specialize in playing the best kinds of pervs, creepers and bullies. The roles that most attract me are always his most perverse; The sadomasochistic boss in Secretary, the morally ambiguous lawyer in Boston Legal , and the pervy bohemian in Sex, Lies, and Videotape.

Bruno review
I’ve discovered a glorious new technology: AudioBoo. It’s an iphone application that allows you to record 5-minute segments and publish them to the Internet instantly. It’s somewhere between a tweet and a podcast.
I grabbed Rita and recorded our review of Bruno, which we saw last Friday. Spoiler alert, I suppose.

Fox of the week – Fred Astaire
PBS used to play clips of Fred Astaire dance numbers, so I was faintly aware of him as an influential figure in dance. I took a second look when John Canemaker came to KCAI to give a lecture and showed clip from Swing Time (1936).
He’s not the greatest singer, he’s got big ears and a [...]
